Giving

Giving, or Christian stewardship, comprises everything I do with everything I have once I say, "Lord, I believe." This includes our time, our talents and passions, and our financial resources. This page focuses on financial resources.

At Christ Church, we think of monetary giving as a larger part of discipleship. Jesus spent a great deal of time talking about the use of our weath and possessions precisely because he understood how easily our possessions can soon come to possess us.

Please consider thinking about giving in the two-fold terms of "tithes" and "offerings." Our "tithe" is what we pledge to the annual operating budget of the church (utilities, staffing, spiritual formation, worship ministries, etc.). "Offerings" are above and beyond our tithes and support a variety of local outreach ministries. One might choose to give a thank offering, a memorial offering, a birthday offering, or a "just-because-I-love-you, Lord" offering.
